Question by gapipkin: Is there a color laser printer that prints 11X17 duplex at a reasonable price?
I’m looking for a good color laser that prints tabloid (11×17) and both sides of the paper. I teach a high school graphics class so cost is an issue.

HP 5550 runs around $ 3,500.
You can manually duplex to cut costs.
11″x17″ kicks the price up to that area.
HP2600N 8.5″x14″ color manual duplexer start around $ 400!

Question by breid7718: Does anyone know of an inexpensive laser printer that will print directly to business cards?
I need one that prints directly on individual business cards, not to a sheet of tear-offs. It needs to print nearly edge to edge on them as well. Ideally you would just stack them up like you do in an envelope feed.
I appreciate the suggestion, but I don’t actually want to print business cards. I want to print documents and forms ON business card sized media for use in an organizer.

for some reason, our all-in-one (scanner, copier, colour printer) hates me and won’t print for me. It likes Mark just fine… we picked this up at Costco last week, it’s a laser printer for plain documents and it’s very nice!

all the heavyweight paper is made for color laser printers, what if I order some non-glossy paper that says “heavyweight color copy paper” for my regular laser printer?

The printer will not care. they call it “color” paper because it’s good for printing colors. The printer doesn’t know this.

Question by teehehehehehe: Samsung CLP-300 laser printer jam?
The printer goes through the regular warm-up mode then it just stops in the middle of it and the lights turn red. its like… jammed or something or from overheating
last night someone left it on all night by accident, but would that kill the printer?

My extended family owns 5 of these printers for well over a year and they’re running well. Open it uo, take out everything like the cartridge holder and drum and make sure nothing is jammed inside. Are you sure the cartridges aren’t empty?
Samsung has an 800 support number.
